The Bull Terrier was used for centuries for fights with bulls and other large animals. Those unfair and harmful fights were forbidden in England in 1835, when the breed was ameliorated. The new Bull Terrier puppies have about the same physical characteristics as the ones used for fights, but they are smarter, and less aggressive. Today, the Bull Terrier can be considered as a family dog with strong guarding and fighting instincts.
It is an average dog, muscular, strong and fast. It has a special type of head that distinguish it amongst other races. It can bare great pain, and it will never renounce a fight. It is possessive with food, so try not to stay around while the Bull Terrier eats.
